Don’t ask why. I rebuilt the chapter, starting from scratch and only really referencing the old chapter. It similar, but their are some differences that I think will add more to the story going forward.

So, one of my friends, Bezier Ballad, brought to my attention that the chapter of Patrilineality, Meet Our Father, could have been done differently. She had a good point, saying Metamorphosis probably should have seen Ember and Tempest as possible threats. So I tried rewriting it on docs, and Bezier was right that it worked much better. Current projected release date is Wednesday; just waiting on two more prereads. And in a change, there will NOT be any sex scene in it. In the course of writing this, I realized something I should have long before--sometimes a scene is more powerful without overt sex; sometime’s it’s better if you just leave it in the background undescribed.

A big criticism I had received with the story was that the intro was hard to get through and turned people away, so I’ve since gone back and rewrote the very start of it and hopefully in a way that adds more of an emotional connection to the main character while also making the direction the story is going in a little more clear. I might poke at the second and third chapters eventually too, but the prologue was the part in need of the most work, so I hope you all enjoy it!
